Turn Signal Replacement & Diagnosis
No matter what you call them: turn signals, blinkers, directional indicators, etc., they all have the same job – to let others know what direction you are intending to go. This important system is usually pretty easy to repair and diagnose, but on some cars the blinker is a solid state device that can cause you a lot of grief. Did you know your blinkers are SUPPOSED to blink fast when there is a bulb out?
The evolution of the turn signal
The lowly turn signal used to be a mechanical arm that was operated by a cable. Before that people just used hand signals. Things have really gotten complex with the turn signal now being LED powered and being able to turn on blind spot monitors to help you from hitting another car by sounding an alarm and giving you visual cues that there is a car in your blind spot.
